Speed of Dark by Barbara Quinn

Just wanted to say I'm thrilled to have Speed of Dark out with Eternal Press.

This is a coming-of-age tale set in the 60's. The story opens with a teenage boy meeting a mysterious girl as they pedal behind a DDT truck. We used to do that in the 6o's, until DDT was outlawed. I liked the idea of romance arising in a poisonous fog. I've heard from a number of readers across the country that they too used to like following behind the DDT truck. Let me know if that's something you did, and where.

In the story the main character has a mentally challenged sister. Joanie suffers from Fragile x Syndrome. I wanted to shed some light on the difficulties families face when they have a member with this type of disease.
